At the West Coast Ostrich Ranch, take an informative tour to learn about these feathery friends and perhaps even indulge in some curios or great quality leather goods at the ranch’s inspired shops.

The West Coast is perhaps most world-renowned for its annual bursts of colour and fragrances, when between July and October beautiful flowers bloom in all their splendour. The Post Berg Nature Reserve and West Coast National Park are both idyllic settings in which to experience this wild and untamed beauty.

At the Langebaan Lagoon, with its Caribbean-like beaches of crystal water, keep a lookout for a Southern Right whale returning during the winter months to calve each year.

Then we visit the West Coast Fossil Park to explore the ecological history of this magnificent region. Here lies one of the richest fossil sites to have been discovered and it is a pioneering project which is helping to make palaeontology accessible to people of the Western Cape.

Saldanha Bay rests at the mouth of the Berg River, with a host of small fishing villages and holiday resorts. This birdwatcher’s and seafood-lover’s paradise is where our tour draws to an ambience-filled end.
